Parents: If your child has food allergies, CCISD policy requires physician documentation each new school year. Please ensure this is given to the nurse as soon as possible.

The Most Common Reasons Students Are Excluded from School:

Temperature 100 degrees or above. (Must be temp. free for 24 hours before returning)
Vomiting (No vomiting for 24 hours before returning)
Skin Rashes
Eyes – pink/red with drainage

Medication

Doctor’s order is required to administer medication. No medications will be given unless there is a prescription label on medicine and a signed consent form in office. Medicine will only be given to follow doctor’s order.

Hearing and Vision Testing

All students in grades Pre-K, Kindergarten, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grade will have their vision and hearing tested. We will only notify those that are referred to see a doctor of results.

Please notify the school nurse of any medical condition changes, or restrictions to activity immediately.

Any illness or accident that occurs at home is NOT the responsibility of the school nurse and should be treated by parent or doctor when they occur.** Getting sick is no fun!
